Guitar lessons in Chapel Hill, NC

Welcome to the website for Tar Heel Guitar Instruction! My name is Jason Derrick and I’m a guitar teacher located in Chapel Hill, NC (convenient to Carrboro and Pittsboro as well). I provide private beginning to intermediate individual and group guitar lessons, with a specialization in beginners and primary focus on the acoustic guitar. In the event that my teaching roster is full, I also offer one off lessons where slots freed up due to cancellations are offered to wait-listed students. I’ve designed this site to provide visitors with information pertaining to my teaching studio as well as provide a space for learning and discussion about music in general and the guitar in particular via my blog.
